CLASSIC ENGLISH KITCHEN, ISLINGTON
THE CLIENT'S BRIEF | This kitchen was to be fitted into the basement of our clients Victorian home, therefore, natural sunlight was limited. The aim was to brighten up this space and the style was to be sympathetic to the period of the property, especially creating a feature of the original chimney. Lots of storage was required, and the layout needed to suit a busy family.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
A beautiful handmade & hand-painted kitchen. The Shaker doors, heritage paint colour and the tongue & groove panels introduce the classic English style, complimenting this Victorian house.
The flat ceiling was removed to expose the original rafters, which were painted to create more light and space. The original chimney breast was opened to house the Rangemaster and hood. The room was brightened up by using several layers of lighting, included in the mantle and shelves.
The large island was designed to give additional work surface area and useful storage, and by linking the dining table, this not only connected the kitchen and snug but allowed easy access around the room.
